Zendala and Monotangles #17

Seems I cannot follow directions! Lol I was suppose to pick tangles that started with the letters that spelled Hot or Heat. I do not know how to take my name off the entries for the challenge. So to those who followed the rules....yeah....as for me.......I'm sorry.
I do need to learn the names of my tangles! I have started making notes, but cannot find the names of any of my tangles used today except for Hibred in-between the flowers..

Here is Monotangles #17 Cadent, from Mindful Creations.

  1. It's beautiful zendala, Deby. Great precision and a lovely choice of patterns.
I collect all the patterns I find alphabetically on my computer. I can't find anything by name if I don't do it that way. For this dare I decided on patterns first, so I could select only the ones starting with the letters HEAT + O. I immediately forget most of the names, however.
    I love your monotangle, too!

  2. I forget mine too! I try writing the names on back of the tiles sometimes. Your zendala is gorgeous!

  3. The tile is lovely and I love the touch of pink. My advice on choosing tangles with particular letters is to go to Linda Farmer's Tanglepatterns.com; and click on an alphabet letter and see what all is there.

    1. I just realized I did not follow the rules for picking tangles that started with the letters of the words Hot or Heat. Thank you for pointing this out.

  5. I just love your Zendala! The pink flowers make it look so happy. Your linework and shading are great too. I also like your Cadent monotangle.

  6. Whether or not you followed the "rules", I love your zendala! It's very striking.

I also use Linda Farmers tanglepatterns.com to choose my tangles. Her site is a wonderful resource, and if you contribute just a small amount (I think it's $10), she'll send you a wonderful tangle guide that you can print out. Definitely worth it! However, even with all the wonderful sites, like you, I often can't remember the tangle names!
