Prayer Journal

I was in need of a Prayer Journal so decided to put one together. I bought the smallest 3 ring binder, a package of dividers and ruled paper inserts. I want to be able to take paper out and change it up if I need to.
Next I needed to create some art for this Journal. I did a pencil practice page for my cover. After much erasing, it was time for color. I used all my gel pens from glaze to glitter. Some Tim Holtz ink around the edges and rubbed on top lightly.
For the spine "Prayer Book" I just used some stickers I had in my stash.
Slid both cover and spine into the handy plastic protecter on the binder. Love this feature as it will protect my art.
For the inside dividers I used my Washi Tape, every color I had. Just grabbed and taped. I did one page upside down......can you find it! Ha, didn't want to redo so it will stay the same.
I then needed names for each Prayer section.
1) WOW -Women of the Word, this is our women's study group at Church.
2) Chruch
3) Family
4) Friends
5) Other
I used stickers to label all of them.
I can now keep my prayer requests in order by date and then see how some are answered.

Book 2014 - Week 26 - Sketching a Face with Kate Thompson

This week I sketched the face of my daughter. I had her take a picture and then I turned into black and white. I used pencil and charcoal for this. I was so surprised by the outcome. Who knew I could do this!
